About Outdoor Adventurers

Outdoor Adventurers is a resource for people who enjoy the outdoors, and who are seeking outdoor activity ideas and tips, hiking destinations in Ontario and inspiration to spend more time exploring.

Our goal is to help others find the balance they need by spending time in natural settings, celebrating everything beautiful and natural in the world.

What We Write About

Outdoor Adventurers is a blog about the outdoors – hiking, camping, canoeing and enjoying the cottage life. We live in Southern Ontario, an area full of conservation areas, as well as rural and urban trails. We live within a few hours of great camping sites in provincial and national parks.

Our adventures focus on family-friendly experiences. As well, ones that won’t drive us nuts with a rambunctious kid attempting dangerous things.

As such, we write about:

  • Reviews of trails: our experiences and tips on how to best enjoy them
  • Conservation areas around Southern Ontario
  • Camping adventures
  • Day trip ideas
  • Product reviews: camping and hiking gear
  • Picnic and trail recipe ideas and tips
  • Family outdoor activity ideas

Although I’m not a typical Dad blogger, you will read about my experiences as a first-time older dad. And you’ll sometimes see my wife, Margaret, post the occasional story.

Thank you for checking out my blog! Let me know your thoughts
